On April 9 and 10, 2014, Backflow Prevention Device Testing Co. will be testing all backflow devices in the District.Devices that fail will be repaired the following week beginning on April 16, 2014.
Due to numerous requests from owners to be present when their device is tested and repaired, we are arranging the above dates for testing.We are asking all device owners to please have their device accessible on those days. If your device is in a building or fence that is locked, we will need to make arrangements to have them unlocked. Again, we need access to your device.If they are unable to test your device on April 9 or 10, there will be an additional cost.
The cost for testing is $35.00 per device and the labor for devices needing repair will be $45.00 plus the cost of all parts and tax.
Littlerock Creek Irrigation District will not be responsible for any protective winterizing material you have installed.If you do not remove the protective wrapping, we will remove the wrapping with as little damage as possible.Please remember, WE WILL NOT REINSTALL OR WINTERIZE YOUR DEVICE WHEN THROUGH WITH OUR TESTING.The winterizing of your backflow unit is your responsibility.
If you are irrigating when we come to test your backflow unit, we will turn your water off for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.When we are through testing, we will start your water again.
